Ram Mandir Donation Row: The three-man SIT visited Ayodhya once again to pursue its inquiry into the scam related to the donation process. In the course of six hours of interrogations, the SIT members questioned Champat Rai, Anil Mishra, and Gopal Rao regarding the working of the trust and other issues associated with the inquiry. 

Investigation Gains Momentum After Police Custody of Key Accused

The investigation gathered pace after a local court granted police custody of one of the arrested accused, Avinash Shukla, from whose residence more than ₹20 lakh in cash was earlier recovered. Investigators are expected to use information obtained during the custodial interrogation to identify additional suspects and uncover possible links in the alleged financial irregularities.

Champat Rai and Anil Mishra Remain Under Spotlight

Ram Mandir Donation Row: Champat Rai and Anil Mishra, who recently resigned from their respective positions in the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, continue to remain at the center of the investigation. Reports suggest that the trust’s upcoming meeting is likely to discuss their resignations, the future leadership of the organization, and recommendations made by the SIT as the investigation progresses.

Congress, Other Opposition Parties Step Up Attack

The latest developments have provided fresh ammunition to Congress and other Opposition parties, which have demanded greater transparency in the management of Ram Mandir donations. Opposition leaders have questioned the handling of the trust’s affairs and urged the government to ensure that the investigation is conducted fairly and without political interference.
