According to the police, authorities recovered 26.2 kilograms of heroin, 22 kilograms of poppy husk, 1.2 kilograms of opium, 434 intoxicating tablets, and ₹6,600 in suspected drug money from the accused during raids conducted across various parts of the state.

Police teams have been carrying out regular intelligence-based raids and enforcement actions to identify and apprehend those involved in the illegal drug trade.
Alongside enforcement measures, Punjab Police also continued its rehabilitation-focused approach. During the latest drive, 22 individuals were counselled and persuaded to voluntarily undergo de-addiction and rehabilitation treatment, highlighting the state’s emphasis on helping those struggling with substance abuse return to mainstream society.
Punjab Police reiterated its commitment to continuing the anti-drug campaign with equal focus on strict legal action against traffickers and support for individuals seeking freedom from addiction.
