According to the Jharkhand Information and Public Relations Department, devotees can explore the rich history of the Baba Baidyanath Temple, the stories associated with the 12 Jyotirlingas, Deoghar’s cultural heritage and various public welfare schemes through 3D animation and advanced graphics.
The initiative aims to give pilgrims a new way to connect with the spiritual and cultural significance of one of Jharkhand’s prominent religious destinations. By integrating emerging technology with traditional faith, the VR experience is adding a modern dimension to the annual Shravani Mela.
The initiative also showcases how digital technology can be used to communicate historical, cultural and developmental information to large numbers of visitors during major religious gatherings.
The Shravani Mela attracts devotees from across India, many of whom undertake the pilgrimage to Baba Baidyanath Dham during the holy month of Shravan.
