The initiative, being implemented by the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government, aims to provide senior devotees with an opportunity to visit important religious places while ensuring a comfortable and organised journey.

According to Dr Balbir Singh, the government has made arrangements for pilgrims’ transportation, accommodation, food and religious visits during the journey. The comprehensive arrangements are intended to make the pilgrimage convenient for elderly devotees.

The Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme is among the Punjab government’s welfare initiatives aimed at facilitating religious travel for residents, particularly those who may otherwise face difficulties arranging such journeys independently.
