Delhi gears up for traffic changes as the authorities conduct a motorcade rehearsal in anticipation of the upcoming BRICS Summit 2026.
Motorcade Rehearsal Likely to Disrupt Delhi Traffic
The rehearsals will take place on September 6 between 9 AM and 10 PM. During this period, traffic movement will be controlled on more than one road. There are more than 35 roads that are likely to see restrictions on movement. The restrictions can cause delays as many commuters will be forced to move along longer routes due to the restrictions.

Roads/Areas to Avoid
Many restrictions can be seen on routes such as ITO, Pragati Maidan, Mathura Road, Janpath, and Mandi House. Movement on these routes will depend on the movement of the motorcade. During the ITO crossing, commercial vehicles will be restricted and diverted to alternative routes. Authorities recommend routes such as IP Marg, DDU Marg and Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg.
