Bhagwant Mann, in coordination with the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), conducted 594 targeted raids across the state as part of its ongoing ‘Gangstran Te Vaar’ campaign against gangster networks.
According to Punjab Police, the statewide operation resulted in the arrest of 249 individuals, while four proclaimed offenders were also apprehended.
Bhagwant Mann: Six Weapons Recovered During Raids
The police said that six weapons were recovered during the latest round of operations conducted at identified and mapped locations across Punjab.
The raids were carried out as part of the police force’s continued efforts to identify and dismantle networks linked to organised criminal activities.
Gangster Crackdown Continues Across Punjab
With the latest arrests, the total number of arrests recorded since the launch of the ‘Gangstran Te Vaar’ campaign has reached 74,734, according to Punjab Police.
The force said coordinated operations with the AGTF would continue as part of efforts to disrupt gangster networks and strengthen public safety across the state.
Punjab Police Appeals for Public Information
Punjab Police has also urged citizens to share information related to gangster activities with law enforcement agencies.
The police said information can be provided anonymously through its Anti-Gangster Helpline at 93946-93946.
