Bhagwant Mann arrested 110 drug smugglers as part of its ongoing statewide crackdown on drug networks under the #YudhNashianVirudh campaign, according to an official police update.
The operation, which has continued for 577 days, also resulted in the recovery of narcotics and suspected drug money from the accused, the police said.
10.2 Kg Heroin Recovered: Bhagwant Mann
According to Punjab Police, the latest action led to the recovery of 10.2 kg of heroin, 500 grams of opium, 19 kg of poppy husk and 4 kg of ganja.
The police also recovered 543 intoxicant pills and ₹4 lakh in alleged drug money during the operations.
22 People Counselled for De-Addiction
Alongside enforcement action against alleged drug smugglers, Punjab Police said 22 individuals were counselled and persuaded to undergo de-addiction and rehabilitation treatment.
The initiative combines action against drug trafficking networks with efforts to encourage people struggling with substance use to seek treatment and rehabilitation.

The latest arrests and recoveries form part of Punjab Police’s sustained campaign against drug trafficking and substance abuse in the state.
The police said enforcement operations against drug networks will continue alongside efforts to connect individuals with de-addiction and rehabilitation services.
