A bus carrying devotees from Urban Estate Phase 2 in Patiala Rural was flagged off for a pilgrimage to Khatu Shyam Ji and Salasar Balaji under the Punjab government’s Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra Yojana.
Free Pilgrimage Service for Devotees
Punjab minister Dr Balbir Singh said the bus was sent from Urban Estate Phase 2 to facilitate the devotees’ visit to the two religious destinations.
The pilgrimage is being undertaken under the Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra Yojana, through which the Bhagwant Mann government provides free pilgrimage travel to devotees.
Focus on Senior Citizens’ Religious Journeys
Dr Balbir Singh said the government’s free pilgrimage service is helping senior citizens fulfil their long-held religious aspirations. The initiative provides an opportunity for devotees to undertake journeys to important religious sites without having to bear the travel expenses themselves.
Bus Flagged Off From Patiala Rural
The devotees from Patiala Rural were given a send-off before beginning their journey towards Khatu Shyam Ji and Salasar Balaji. Dr Balbir Singh extended his best wishes to the group and wished them a safe and fulfilling pilgrimage.
The programme reflects the state government’s continued emphasis on facilitating religious travel for residents through the Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra Yojana.
