Hemant Soren Government’s Jharkhand Shramik Anath Pension Yojana to Provide Monthly Support to Children

The pension amount is linked to the pension previously received by the deceased worker, rather than being a fixed amount for every beneficiary.

The Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren Shramik Anath Pension Yojana aims to provide financial assistance to children who become orphaned following the death of a registered worker. Under the scheme, eligible children are entitled to receive a monthly pension to help them manage their financial needs after losing a working parent.

The initiative, associated with the Hemant Soren-led Jharkhand government, focuses on extending social security to vulnerable families and supporting children who may face financial difficulties following the death of a registered worker.

Monthly Pension of Up to ₹500: Hemant Soren

According to the scheme details provided, beneficiaries will receive 50 per cent of the pension amount that the deceased registered worker was receiving, subject to a maximum of ₹500 per month.

This financial assistance is intended to provide continued support to the children after the death of the registered worker. The pension amount is linked to the pension previously received by the deceased worker, rather than being a fixed amount for every beneficiary.

How the Pension Is Distributed Among Children

The scheme also provides for the distribution of pension benefits when there is more than one eligible child below the age of 18. In such cases, the pension amount will be divided equally among the eligible children.

This provision is intended to ensure that all eligible children receive a share of the financial assistance instead of the entire pension being provided to only one beneficiary.

Focus on Social Security for Workers’ Families

The scheme reflects an effort to extend social protection to the families of registered workers, particularly children who become financially vulnerable after the loss of a parent. Monthly assistance can help meet some basic expenses and provide a degree of financial support during a difficult period.
