The suicide bomber of the international terrorist organization Islamic State (ISIS) has been arrested in Russia. He was planning a suicide attack in India. Actually the terrorist was a resident of Central Asia and he has been arrested by the security agency. He has been told that he has taken training in terrorist attacks in Turkey.
On this matter, Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) has told that the attacker was planning to attack a big leader of the ruling party in India.
The statement said one of the detained IS leaders was recruited as a suicide bomber in Turkey.
Earlier, the Islamic State had threatened to attack across India after a controversy erupted over former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma’s remarks on Islamic prophet Mohammad.
The Islamic State Khorasan Province (IS-KP), operating in the Indian subcontinent, had also released a 50-page document on the same issue.
Talking about the FSB, it is the main security agency of Russia and the main successor agency of the Soviet Union’s KGB. Its primary responsibilities are within the country and include counter-intelligence, internal and border security, terrorism and surveillance, as well as investigating certain other types of serious crimes and violations of federal law.
Its headquarters are in Lubyanka Square, the center of Moscow, in the main building of the former KGB. The Director of the FSB is appointed by the President of Russia.
