Engine details

With the release of the new Honda SP125, the business has now made an engine that complies with OBD2 standards and the BS6 Phase 2 and RDE fuel norms. The bike sports a 125cc ESP fuel injection engine from the manufacturer and an AGS starting motor. A 5-speed gearbox is included with the motorcycle’s engine.

According to the new Real Driving Emission OBD2-standard, the manufacturer employed a 125 cc PGM-Fi engine in the 2023 Honda Shine 125. This engine has a 5-speed gearbox and can produce a maximum of 10.3 horsepower and 11 Nm of torque. The engine also incorporates friction reduction technology, which uses the piston cooling jet to reduce friction. As a result, the engine’s temperature is kept stable. The combination of an offset cylinder and a rocker roller arm, according to the manufacturer, lessens frictional damage. Thus, the engine produces more effective and efficient power.
