In India, where electric cars that cost less than 10 lakh rupees are rare, the price of EVs is one of the most important factors. Carlos Tavares had said before, "The biggest challenge is making electric cars affordable for the middle class." Accessibility is the only thing that can make a scale, and only then can it have a big effect on the environment. Citroen will be able to keep the price of the eC3 as low as possible by making EVs in its own country.

Local suppliers can provide battery materials

Citroen is expected to use local suppliers who can provide battery materials in order to keep costs down. The eC3 should come with a small battery that can hold about 30 kWh. Tavares had said, "There is a great chance for India to be able to sell small electric cars at a price that people can afford while still making money." Because the country has a lot of suppliers with low prices, it is possible to export."

A number of times, the eC3 was seen being tested by Citroen before it came out. When it comes out, the electric hatchback that looks like an SUV will probably be one of the least expensive EVs on Indian roads. It will compete with vehicles such as the Tata Tiago EV, which is the most reasonably priced vehicle in its class at the moment.
