Hero Splendor: This Modified version can give Ducati and Harley Davidson a run for its money

Hero Splendor: On our highways, the Hero Splendor is a frequently seen vehicle. And while every owner would love to give their bike a little amount of personalization, this owner has altered a Splendor so drastically that it is no longer recognisable.

With the exception of the engine, alloy wheels, and suspension, this Splensor, now known as the Keyser, has undergone substantial modification by Bengaluru-based Full Throttle Customs (FTC).

Now, the gasoline tank has a peanut-shaped design that is reminiscent of the Harley Davidson Iron 883. The original, narrow seat has also been changed out for one that is broader and has a higher step for the pillion. Red accents may be seen on the handlebar levers, headlight casing, and the alloy wheels, which have red pinstripes.

Major modifications

The frame, which has been concealed on both sides by leather bags, is made visible by the tapering gasoline tank. A custom-branded side panel has been installed in place of the stock ones, and the rear has a large tyre and fender. The alloy wheel, front tyre, and suspension parts all stay the same.

Thanks to a unit taken from the Bajaj Avenger and inspired by the TVS Ronin, the odometer is now offset. Changes have also been made to the turn indicators, which now have a spherical housing with arrow-like designs.

The bike’s mechanical components remain the same; it is powered by a 97.2cc engine that produces 8PS and 8.05Nm. With all of these significant adjustments, the bike’s kerb weight has decreased from 112kg to 109kg. All the improvements are claimed to have cost a total of about Rs 60,000.
