What Cars will Honda launch?

A mid-size SUV and a small SUV are among the two new SUVs the Japanese automaker has officially confirmed for India. The first will be released in 2023, while the second will go on sale in the middle of 2024. The Amaze platform will be used to design both SUVs. The upcoming Honda mid-size SUV, code-named PF2, will compete with the Hyundai Creta and most likely share a powertrain with the upcoming City.

If Honda uses the locally adapted City Hybrid’s powertrain, it will have high fuel efficiency and compete with powerful hybrid SUVs like the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. According to rumours, Honda is thinking about making the SUV in 5 and 7-seater versions. The Hyundai Alcazar will be its main rival in the 7-seater form.

Details of Upcoming SUVs

The upcoming new compact SUV from Honda is probably going to have a high-riding stance and tough appearance. Its design might take some cues from the latest Honda BR-V. The 1.2L petrol engine from the Amaze compact sedan may be used in the SUV’s powertrain. The new Honda compact SUV might use hybrid technology, similar to the mid-size SUV.

The well-liked City sedan from the Japanese automaker will also receive a mid-life facelift. The revised infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity and new connected car technology are both expected to be included with the Honda City facelift, along with the ADAS (advanced driver assistance system).
