Kia Carens CNG: One of the best MPV in the country to soon be available with a CNG powertrain, all you should know

Kia Carens CNG: Due to the successful sales of CNG vehicles in India, there is a scramble to introduce CNG vehicles in the SUV and MPV classes. Kia Motors is prepared to introduce a CNG SUV and MPV in the near future alongside Tata Motors and Hyundai Motors. For an extended period, Sonnet and Carens CNG have been undergoing testing. We expect Kia Carens soon to enter the Indian market with a CNG powertrain.

Kia Carens CNG specifications

The Kia Carens CNG kit has been undergoing testing since last year, and numerous instances of leaked pictures have also been discovered. In the Carens CNG, which will have less power and torque than the present petrol model if media rumours are to be accepted, there will be a 1.5-litre petrol engine and a factory-installed CNG kit. Future Kia Carens CNG models will feature a 6-speed manual gearbox. The Kia Carens CNG will resemble its ICE variant in terms of appearance and specifications. Kia Carens CNG will have greater gas mileage as well.

Design details

There won't be any obvious exterior changes made to the Carens CNG. Kia might roll out a new colour and CNG badging. You will have a functional boot area, just like the Ertiga CNG, and you may add more boots with the third row folded. Other than that, it might receive fewer features because Kia might not offer CNG on the higher varieties.

The Carens CNG might therefore debut from Kia in 2023. According to the options, the Carens CNG's price may increase by Rs 80000 to Rs 90000.
