Kia Seltos And Carens To Get A Price Hike In October; All You Must Know

Kia Seltos and Carens: Korean Automaker, Kia motors has planned to make a hike in the price of the flagship SUV Seltos and Caren MPV. The company has announced a price hike for both the vehicles from October. The price for both models will see a price hike of almost 2 percent.

The company has ananounced a price hike for both the vehicles second time in a row in the same financial year. Other offerings of the brand like Carnival, EV6 will not see any price hike for now.

Kia Seltos’s upgraded model was launched in july this year, the car came with the price tag of Rs. 10.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The company has recently launched two new variants of the vehicle to serve the high demands before the festive season, the new variants will take their place below the top spec variant that costs around Rs. 19.99 lakh (Ex-showroom). The company has not informed about modelwise price hike yet. But accoriding to the stated 2 percent hike, the price for base variant of the vehicle is expected to see a price hike of Rs. 20000 aand for the top model, it can hike by upto Rs. 40000.

Kia Carens was launched in February 2022 by the Korean Automaker in India. Intially, the Carens price started from Rs. 8.99 lakh. After that, the company increased the price for the MPV several times, it now comes with the starting price tag of Rs. 10.45 lakh and the top specs model costs around Rs. 18.90 lakh (Ex-showroom).

Commenting on the price hike, Hardeep S Brar, National Heads (Sales and Marketing) for Kia India, said, “While many of the companies have already taken the price increase post-April, we, however, did not take…besides the raw material prices are going up.. and we introduced the new Seltos and a lot of investment has gone into the product..so we think it is time that we take the price increase.”
