Mahindra Electric XUV400: This SUV will be the cheapest and the best in it’s class, all you need to know about this beast

Mahindra Electric XUV400: Mahindra, a maker of automobiles, has unveiled the XUV400, its first electric SUV. Its foundation is the eXUV300 vehicle unveiled by Mahindra at the 2020 Auto Expo. The unique feature is that this SUV is said to have a 456 km range.

Inform us that the corporation has stated that the launch will occur in January of next year. In addition, its test drive will begin in roughly 16 locations by the end of this year. In these 16 cities, a post-launch delivery facility will also be available.

Widest SUV

According to its measurements, this all-electric SUV is 4200mm long and 1821mm wide. The segment’s widest breadth is at this point.

Additionally, it has a boot size of 378 litres and the best-in-class wheelbase of 2600mm. Upon closer inspection, one can see a bronze “Twin Peaks” logo. The SUV has diamond-cut, high-contrast alloy wheels with a high gloss finish.

The Mahindra XUV400 has a fully new front end when it comes to appearance. Daytime Running Lights and LED headlights have been added to the grille (DRL). It also loses the radiator grille in favour of a new plastic insert.

Colours

Five colours will be offered for purchase with the Mahindra XUV400. It can have a dual-tone roof with a Satin Copper surface and the colours Arctic Blue, Everest White, Galaxy Grey, Napoli Black, and Infinity Blue as options.

Range

When it comes to the XUV400’s battery, it has a 39.4kWh P67-certified battery pack that provides a 456-kilometer driving range on a single charge. In addition, it can produce 310Nm of torque and 147.5 horsepower of power.

Let us know that this also has the highest segment torque output. The XUV400 can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in only 8.3 seconds and has a top speed of 150 kmph.

Charging capacity

A DC fast charger is available to charge the electric SUV XUV400. With this charger, the battery can be charged from zero to eighty percent in just fifty minutes, while a 7.2 kW/32A outlet can charge the battery from zero to one hundred percent in just six and a half hours.

It can also be charged using a wall outlet at home. It takes 13 hours for a typical home 3.3 kW/16A outlet to fully charge an SUV.

Expected Price

In India, the brand-new Mahindra XUV400 electric SUV will debut in January 2023. Its cost could range from Rs 18 lakh to Rs 25 lakh, according to rumours. It will face competition in India from vehicles like the Tata Nexon EV Max and the Hyundai Kona EV.
