Mahindra will soon release the 5-door Thar SUV

To combat this, Mahindra is getting ready to introduce the 5-door Thar SUV in India, and this model has been seen testing a few times with thick camouflage. However, the Mahindra Thar’s 5-door version won’t be built on the same Thar platform (3-door).

Instead, the Mahindra Thar’s future 5-door version will be built on the Scorpio-N platform, which was just introduced. We anticipate the next Mahindra Thar 5-door SUV to be significantly roomier as a result of this new platform. R Velusamy, Mahindra Senior VP & Head of Automotive Product Development, reaffirmed this information.

The future 5-door Mahindra Thar SUV is anticipated to have the same engine options as the current 3-door model of the Mahindra Thar SUV. To make up for the extra weight of the 5-door version, power and torque output will probably be enhanced.
