Mahindra Thar 5 Door to launch in India on 15th August? All we know about this rumour

Mahindra Thar 5 Door: The unveiling of the Mahindra Thar with 5 doors has generated a lot of excitement in the past few days, and many media outlets are reporting that Mahindra will introduce the Thar with five doors in South Africa on August 15. As of right now, Mahindra Automotive has debunked all of these rumours in an Instagram post. There is no question about it being released on August 15 because the firm has made it clear that the Mahindra Thar 5 door is not arriving this year. Mahindra explained that the 5-door Thar will be introduced the following year.

The Thar 5 door is anticipated to debut in the first few months of 2024.

Expected Specifications

The powertrain options for the Thar 3-door and 5-door will be the same. A 2.2-liter diesel and a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol are two among them. It will not be eligible for the small car tax incentive because the 5-door variant will be longer than 4 metres. It follows that Mahindra is unlikely to provide the smaller 1.5-litre diesel engine.
