Mahindra XUV700 EV Car: Mahindra is placing a significant wager on EVs. They recently disclosed a Rs. 10K crore investment, some of which kwill be used to produce electrified XUVs and its brand-new BE line of electric vehicles. At the M.A.D.E headquarters in the UK, Mahindra displayed five electric vehicles the previous year. Three of them will be “Born Electric” vehicles, with two of them being electrified XUVs. The first of these five will be the electrified XUV.e8 or XUV800, a variation of the XUV700. Test spying has now been done on the same.
Mahindra XUV700 EV Car: Spotted testing
Mahindra employs the Satin Copper hue as an identifying colour for their XUV-based electric automobiles. This Mahindra XUV700 test mule is completed in this tint. On the initial XUV.e8 prototype, which was unveiled in the UK last year, a similar shade was chosen as the accent colour. The present gasoline/diesel XUV700 and the forthcoming electric XUV700 will have some minor design differences. These modifications will be comparable to those made to the XUV300 and XUV400.
INGLO Platform is in-line with global standards
The INGLO platform will be the foundation for Mahindra’s electric vehicles. This brand-new electric platform is adaptable and modular. According to Mahindra, battery sizes will range from 60 to 80 kWh, and both RWD single motor and AWD dual motor configurations are likely.
For the INGLO platform, Mahindra and Volkswagen have cooperated. According to Thomas Schmall, CEO of VW Group Components, their relationship with Mahindra will support 10 lakh vehicles during the course of this platform.
Price and launch
In India, there is a growing market for electric vehicles. Tata Motors currently dominates the market for electric vehicles, with a share of over 75%. Mahindra, however, is catching up. When it is released, the XUV.e8 or XUV800 will probably cost around Rs. 35 lakh. The Mahindra XUV700 electric is anticipated to go on sale sometime in 2024.
