Maruti Suzuki Alto 800: The Alto 800, a new model of the popular automobile, was introduced to the Indian market. The Alto 800, model number AOD308, features a brand-new exterior and interior and is still built on the basis of the previous generation (which is still based on the Alto kei automobile from 1998). Although the predecessor was still manufactured for a little while longer, it replaced the first generation Maruti Alto.

In several foreign areas, this is also offered under the name Suzuki Alto 800. The Alto 800 was redesigned and released in May 2016 with noticeable improvements to the aesthetic, interior, features, and specifications. The new Maruti Alto 800 offers better fuel economy. It can now return 24.7 kilometres per litre of fuel. The vehicle had another improvement in April 2019.

Global NCAP assessed an Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 that lacked airbags and ABS in 2014 (similar to Latin NCAP 2013). The vehicle scored two ratings for a minor passenger and zero points for an adult.
