Pininfarina Battista EV hypercar: At 1900hp from a quad motor powertrain with a top speed of 350 kph, this is a dream car for many

Pininfarina Battista EV hypercar: Pininfarina, which is owned by Mahindra, debuted its Battista hypercar in India at the ongoing Hyderabad E-Motor Show. The Battista, which was unveiled globally in early 2019, is a limited-run hypercar from the storied Italian design house. The all-electric Battista is described as “the most powerful road-legal Italian car ever built,” with a quad motor powertrain producing 1,900hp.

The Battista displayed in Hyderabad was painted in the Indian tricolour flag livery. The car, however, is merely for display and is unlikely to be launched in India.

Pininfarina Battista EV hypercar: Range, top speed, and power

The Battista has a quad-motor configuration (one on each wheel) that produces 1,900hp and 2,300Nm of torque. According to Pininfarina, the hypercar can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than two seconds, reach 300 km/h in less than 12 seconds, and reach a top speed of around 350 km/h. The motors are powered by a 120kWh battery pack, which allows the EV hypercar to travel 500km on a single charge and charge at up to 180kW.

Price and variants

The Battista is primarily intended for left-hand drive markets, and only 150 units will be produced. In global markets, it costs more than $2.2 million (roughly Rs 18 crore).
The Pininfarina hypercar competes with the Rimac Nevera, which shares its powertrain with the Battista, and the 2,000hp Lotus Evija, which will go on sale this year.
