Tata Punch rival coming soon? All you should know about Maruti Ignis coming to take the market away from Tata

Tata Punch: In our market, Tata Punch is expanding quickly. Punch has generated sales of 10,000 units on average per month since its launch last year. The Maruti Ignis is the Punch’s closest rival. The sales of the Ignis, however, are far behind those of the Punch. Maruti might significantly improve the Ignis to fix this. What aspects of the redesigned Ignis may Maruti alter? Let’s discuss this Maruti Punch rival that costs Rs. 6 lakh in today’s article.

Tata Punch rival’s specifications

The Dualjet 1.2-liter petrol engine that already powers other Maruti vehicles in this price range may be added to the Ignis makeover. This engine is able to generate 113Nm of torque and 89bhp of power. High fuel efficiency is this engine’s forte, though. The Ignis will become a very fuel-efficient vehicle as a result. Among the available transmissions are an AMT and a 5-speed manual transmission.

The Tata Punch currently has more features than the Ignis does. As it did with the Brezza and Grand Vitara, Maruti will therefore need to step up its game. How then can Maruti improve? The redesigned seat shapes, an 8-inch infotainment screen, linked car technology, a digital instrument cluster, and other features could be included in the new Ignis.

If necessary, the Ignis facelift might be updated to compete with the Tata Punch. In order to give it a more muscular appearance, Maruti may rebuild the bumpers and modify the grille. Another feature we might observe is a somewhat higher ground clearance, which would increase its usefulness. Last but not least, Maruti may provide some unique visual and colour options to draw in new customers.

Launch and Pricing

Maruti has remained silent over the Ignis facelift, but it will require a vehicle to compete with the Tata Punch. The vehicle might be unveiled by Maruti at the 2023 Auto Expo. Several months could pass between the unveiling and the launch. Given the extras, we could anticipate a price increase of Rs 40,000–Rs 50,000. (ex-showroom).
