Toyota Hyryder: The Urban Cruiser is loaded with unique features and exceptional price band, details here

Toyota Hyryder: Toyota’s foray into the competitive mid-size SUV market, which is currently dominated by the Hyundai Creta, is the recently launched Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. Due to its hybrid powertrain, shared base with the future Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and shared technology between the two manufacturers, the Hyryder has attracted a lot of interest.

The SUV’s costs have not yet been disclosed by Toyota, but the automaker plans to do so the following week. Maruti Suzuki had also stated that it would release Grand Vitara pricing in September, but Grand Vitara pricing leaks have Toyota on the edge of its seat as well.

Expected Price

Toyota may choose to disclose prices simultaneously or wait for Maruti Suzuki to do so first, but we can anticipate that the new Urban Cruiser Hyryder will cost around Rs 9.5 lakh and above (ex-showroom), comparable to the Grand Vitara.

Expected features

The 1.5-liter mild hybrid engine from Maruti Suzuki that produces 100 horsepower and the 1.5-liter three-cylinder Toyota engine aided by the 177.6 V lithium-ion battery pack that produces 114 bhp are the two powertrain options available for the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.

You can choose between an eCVT, a 6-speed automatic, and a 5-speed manual transmission. Although the Hyryder is front-wheel-driven, an AWD model is available with a 100 horsepower engine and a 5-speed manual transmission. Toyota states that the Neo Drive variation (a mild hybrid) gets 21.1 km per litre and that the Hybrid version gets the greatest mileage in its class at 27.9 km per litre.

The contrasts between the Toyota Hyryder’s Neo Drive and Hybrid models, as well as the parallels and differences between the Toyota Hyryder and the Grand Vitara, have been emphasised.

Competitors

The new Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, which will go on sale next month, will go up against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Nissan Kicks, and the Hyryder’s own Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara in the marketplace.
