Toyota Hyryder vs Maruti Grand Vitara: Which one to choose?

Toyota Hyryder vs Maruti Grand Vitara: The Grand Vitara was unveiled by Maruti Suzuki on July 20 and the Urban Cruiser Hyryder by Toyota on July 1. These new small SUVs will be made at Toyota’s Bidadi facility in Karnataka and are based on the same platform. The newest SUVs share features and options for engines in addition to architecture. In contrast to earlier rebadged models, MSIL & Toyota has made a number of adjustments to maintain the distinction between the two SUVs’ identities.

Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha with a mild hybrid powertrain, and Zeta Plus and Alpha plus with a strong hybrid powertrain, are the four types that Maruti Suzuki offers. The Urban Cruiser, on the other hand, will be offered in 4 trim levels: E, S, G, and V.

The S, G and V are also offered with strong hybrid powertrain. Production of the new models have already been commenced, while deliveries are expected from September 2022.

Top Changes

The front and back appearance of both SUVs have undergone the most alterations. The new thin chrome grille with glossy black bands surrounding it and a large Toyota emblem in the middle is standard equipment on the Hyryder. However, the Maruti Grand Vitara’s front design draws substantially from the global-spec New Generation S-Cross. It has a larger grille with highlights in gloss black. The Grand Vitara also has 3-pod LED daytime running lamps, similar to those on the Baleno. Twin LED strips with a chrome stripe in between are included with the Hyryder.

With the exception of the new set of alloy wheels, the side profiles of the new Grand Vitara and the Hyryder are nearly identical. The Grand Vitara adds to this with a spray of chrome on the D-pillar. With a few adjustments, the taillight design appears to be the same. The Grand Vitara’s taillights are separated by a light bar. The Hyryder, in contrast, has a chrome bar dividing the taillights. The Hyryder has two C-shaped LED lights, whilst the Grand Vitara has three-pod taillights.

The new Grand Vitara is available from Maruti Suzuki in 9 colors—6 monochromatic and 3 dual-tone. The Urban Cruiser Hyryder, on the other hand, will be offered in 11 colours, including 7 monochromatic and 4 dual-tone variations.

The interior of the new Maruti Grand Vitara and the Toyota Hyryder are virtually identical, in contrast to their exteriors. The interior colour schemes will be the only thing that will alter. The quality and style of the body panels, seats, air conditioning vents, and switchgears are also the same. The majority of the features in the new SUVs were acquired from Suzuki Vendors, who also designed and built the vehicles.
