Toyota Innova Hycross: Flawless Design Powered With Robust Hybrid Engine And Excellent Interiors Make This Car An Outstanding Buy

Toyota Innova Hycross: The Indonesian arm of Japanese automaker Toyota Motor Corporation has released a new teaser image of the upcoming Toyota Innova Hycross, which is set to debut in the Southeast Asian country next month before heading to India in the fourth quarter of the current fiscal year.

The new Innova Hycross, according to media reports, will be a front-wheel-drive vehicle with a monocoque frame. In comparison, the current Toyota Innova Crysta is a rear-wheel-drive model with a ladder-frame chassis. Furthermore, the new Toyota Hycross will be built on the same modular TNGA-C platform that underpins the current-generation Corolla sold in international markets.

Engine

The new Toyota Innova Hycross will be available with powerful hybrid powertrain options. It is unlikely that any diesel engine will be available. It could be around 4,700mm long with a wheelbase of 2,850mm.

Features

In terms of features, the new Toyota Innova Hycross is expected to have a full LED lighting setup, including LED headlamps and LED taillamps, alloy wheels, and a sunroof. Inside the cabin, multiple seating options are possible, as well as features such as a digital instrument cluster, touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, and a 360-degree camera, among others.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor and Maruti Suzuki India will both sell the new Innova Hycross in India

Toyota Kirloskar Motor stated in a recent filing to the Registrar of Companies that it is planning to launch a CMPV (C-segment multi-purpose vehicle) in FY23. This model will be produced not only for Toyota, but will also be the first cross-badged Toyota vehicle offered to Maruti, according to the company.

Under the strategic partnership between Toyota Motor Corporation and Suzuki Motor Corporation, only Maruti has so far offered vehicles to Toyota. Toyota renamed the Baleno the Glanza and the Vitara Brezza the Urban Cruiser.

In India, Toyota sells the Innova Crysta and Vellfire MPVs, while Maruti sells the Ertiga and XL6. Maruti has a market share of more than 60% in the MPV segment. The new Toyota Innova Hycross will compete with the Kia Carnival in India.
