Toyota launches new Prius PHEV with special mode called “My Room”, Here is all we know so far

Toyota Prius PHEV: The new Toyota Prius PHEV has a special mode that lets the people inside sleep or relax while the car is charging at a charging station. The Japanese automaker says that this mode, called “My Room,” can turn the car’s cabin into an extra room for the driver or passenger. This feature is built into the new Toyota Prius PHEV, as well as the Toyota RAV4 Prime and Lexus NX 450h+.

The car gets its power from the larger battery

The car company says that this technology lets people inside the car use its features even when the car is parked and the internal combustion engine is turned off. Instead, the car gets its power from the larger battery. Toyota says that this feature lets people use the air conditioner and audio system when the car is plugged into a power source outside of the car. This means that the people in the cabin can sleep, rest, browse the internet, work, or even watch a movie for several hours or even all night without having to turn on the ICE. Also, the system shows if the battery is losing power faster than it is being charged. This lets users balance their power use so they don’t run out of power.

These vehicles are great for camping

This technology was first used in the Toyota RAV4 Prime. The luxury car brand Lexus, which is part of the same group as Toyota, also used it in the Lexus NX 450h+. People say that because of this feature, these vehicles are great for camping. Also, the feature lets the owners work from their cars while they are away. The same thing is true for the new generation of the Toyota Prius PHEV.

The new Prius has a plug-in hybrid powertrain with a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder gasoline engine that makes 146 hp at its most powerful. It has a single electric motor on the front axle that makes 158 hp and a 13.6 kWh lithium-ion battery that is mounted under the back seats. The total amount of power is 220 hp, which lets the Prius go from 0 to 96 km/h in 6.6 seconds.
