New GST Rule Makes Tata Cars Cheaper ! Tiago To Nexon And Safari To Harrier, Get Major Price Drops, Check Details

With the GST 2.0 overhaul and Tata Motors’ decision to pass on the full benefit, owning a Tiago, Nexon, Safari, or Harrier has never been easier on the pocket. Starting September 22.

New GST Rules: No longer is it too expensive to buy a Tata car! With the start of the new GST 2.0 rules, Tata Motors has stated that all of its popular passenger vehicles will be priced much lower. Customers can now save up to ₹1.55 lakh on a wide range of cars, from small hatchbacks like the Tiago to powerful SUVs like the Safari and Harrier. Starting September 22, 2025, the prices will go down, which is a great reason for people to improve before the holidays.

What Will Be Different With GST 2.0?

The government’s GST 2.0 change has made tax slabs easier to understand. This has made small cars and two-wheelers much cheaper, while luxury and premium vehicles are taxed at a higher rate of 40%. Electric cars still only have to pay a 5% GST, which is part of India’s effort to promote green transportation.

This means that Tata Motors can give the full tax benefit to customers, which means that the prices they pay outside of showrooms will go down.

Price Cuts Based on Models

  • Tiago: Save up to ₹75,000
  • Buy Tigor and save up to ₹80,000
  • Altroz: Up to ₹1.10 lakh off the price
  • Punch: Price cut by up to ₹85,000
  • Nexon: ₹1.55 lakh cut is the biggest one
  • You can save up to ₹65,000 with Curvv.
  • Price drop of ₹1.45 lakh for Safari
  • Harrier: Price cut by up to 1.40 lakh

Tata’s lineup should be even more competitive in its own areas after these changes.

How it affects buyers

It could not have come at a better time—right before Navratri and Diwali, when sales of cars usually go up. People can now get their favourite Tata cars at much lower prices, whether they’re buying one for the first time or upgrading.

Auto experts think that this move will not only help Tata Motors make more sales, but it will also show other automakers how to do the same thing.
