With the 2026 XUV 7OO makeover, Mahindrais getting ready to change the mid-size SUV market. New spy photos show the SUV's best feature: a seamless triple-screen dashboard that shows Mahindra's progress toward more futuristic cabins. The layout has a digital display for the driver, an infotainment screen in the middle, and, for the first time in this class, a screen on the passenger side.
Drawing from EV Design Language
The style of the three screens was influenced by the inside of Mahindra's XUV.e9 EV. The driver and central displays are for performance and entertainment. The passenger screen, on the other hand, should have multimedia features like music controls, car information, and maybe even video playback—as long as the government approves them.
Comforts of the Cabin Get an upgrade to premium
The cabin will have a high-tech dashboard, ventilated seats in both rows, an expensive Harman Kardon sound system, and a newly designed two-spoke steering wheel with a Mahindra logo that lights up. A 360-degree camera, wireless phone charging, ambient lighting, and support for digital keys are some of the other luxuries that are planned.
Changes on the outside: development, not revolution
On the outside, the makeover adds small changes to the way the car looks, such as round LED headlights, a more aggressive front grille, new alloy wheels, and changed rear taillights. The fact that test models didn't have fog lamps suggests that they might be built into the headlight frame to make it look cleaner.
Powertrain Probably Won't Change
The XUV 7OO facelift is likely to keep its 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline and 2.2-liter diesel engines, which come with both manual and automatic gears. There will still be AWD versions, and reports in the industry say that a plug-in hybrid version might come out in the future.
Launch Date and Place in the Market
The updated Mahindra XUV 7OO is likely to come out in early 2026, and prices are likely to stay around ₹15–26 lakh. Mahindra wants to raise the bar in India's SUV market once more by focusing on digital luxury and next-generation technology.
