Kia India has made the official launch of the eagerly awaited Carens Clavis EV to enter the mainstream electric MPV segment. The Clavis EV starts from ₹17.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and aims to set a new standard for value in the electric 7-seater market with futuristic features, impressive performance, and a comprehensive EV ecosystem.
Two Battery Options, Up to 490 km Range
In terms of battery pack options, the Clavis EV has 2 configurations:

42 kWh Standard Range that has an ARAI-certified range of 404 km.

51.4 kWh Extended Range that can give an approximate range of up to 490 km in the class.

Both packs drive a single motor that produces 255 Nm of torque. The output is 135 PS (standard) and 171 PS (extended). It can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.4 seconds.
Fast Charging & V2L Capabilities
The Clavis EV has the ability to do 100 kW DC fast charging and will charge the battery from 10% to 80% in 39 minutes. Kia is also bringing the Vehicle-to-Load function (V2L) to the Indian market, enabling users to charge external electrical devices such as laptops, electric stoves, or even camping gear.
