Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV teased before launch, what you should expect from this futuristic electric car

Hyundai Ioniq 5: The Ioniq 5 will soon be available in India thanks to Hyundai Motors India Limited (HMIL). The company has now revealed information on the Ioniq 5’s customizable interiors and teased the EV. Remember that this is the company’s second electric vehicle (EV), following the Kona Electric, which was also in need of an upgrade.

All about the interior

There may be a “Premium Relaxation Seat” at the front of the Ioniq 5 EV. These seats would be able to recline and also provide calf support. A button for relaxation is also included. Interestingly, the EV seats have a thin form to free up room inside the carbon, and they include lumbar support and motorised adjustment.

The Ioniq 5’s rear passenger seats may be modified with a co-driver seat from behind by pressing a button. The automobile also has a memory function for all seats, which will assist in creating greater legroom. Users might save up to three different seat positions. Since the centre console has 140mm of travel, it can shift.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is already available for purchase in Western nations, and this EV is assisting the manufacturer in dominating the global market for electric vehicles. Based on the e-GMP or Electric Global Modular Platform architecture, the Ioniq 5 is provided with two battery packs in the majority of markets.

Range and Battery

The battery pack is what gives the Hyundai Ioniq 5 its range. The Ioniq 5 is advertised to have a range of around 480 km with the larger 72.6 kWh battery pack and approximately 385 km with the smaller 58 kWh battery pack. The battery pack can be charged from empty to 80 per cent in 18 minutes using a 350 kW DC fast charger. The carmaker has not yet announced which battery pack would be sold in the Indian market.

Unsoo Kim, MD and CEO, of Hyundai Motor India Limited said, “With Hyundai Ioniq 5, we are taking customer experiences beyond simple transaction, customers can now experience a new realm of mobility that seamlessly intertwines with their lifestyle, making every moment an occasion to cherish.”
