Mahindra Scorpio X Name trademarked in India, could it be a pickup model? All we know

Mahindra Scorpio X: Mahindra may be preparing to launch a new vehicle under the Scorpio X moniker, as evidenced by their recent registration of a new trademark for the nameplate in India. This could be the moniker for the Global Pik Up concept, which was introduced last year, albeit it is not verified. Read on to know more.

Mahindra Scorpio X

The future Scorpio-N-based pick-up is most likely going to use Mahindra’s new trademark, “Scorpio X.” Mahindra has also submitted trademark applications for Scorpio K, Scorpio L, Scorpio M, and Scorpio Z in addition to Scorpio X. However, out of all of the trademarks, only Scorpio X’s has been approved.

It’s anticipated that the new pick-up will arrive on the market in 2025. Mahindra will launch the Scorpio X pick-up outside of its home market, in places where it already has a significant following abroad. It just underwent testing and was observed being spied on in India.

Expected Powertrain and features

The production pickup’s engine lineup is anticipated to include an MHawk diesel engine mated to a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox. Moreover, it will have four drive modes (Normal, Grass-Gravel-Snow, Mud-Rut, and Sand) and 4-wheel drive capability. 5G connectivity, semi-automated parking, level-2 ADAS, and a sunroof are expected to be added later on.
