Maruti Suzuki Jimmy: An upcoming 7-seater 4X4 SUV variant spotted, what you need to know about its launch

Maruti Suzuki Jimny: One of the highly anticipated new automobile debuts of the upcoming year is the Maruti Suzuki Jimny. At the Delhi Auto Expo in January 2023, the Indo-Japanese carmaker will introduce its 5-door version, which will make its debut in front of the general public. Just so you know, the business has previously displayed its 3-door model at the Auto Expo. The upcoming new Maruti Jimny SUV has been the subject of numerous spy photos and videos that have so far revealed intriguing interior and exterior elements.

What we could make out of the test mule?

The Maruti Jimny 7-seater version has been captured on camera for the first time. The test mule's black alloy wheels, ORVMs, door handles, and spare wheel in the back were all tightly hidden. Its conventional front grille and circular headlights in a vintage design are also noticeable. The sporty red seat upholstery, which is just visible in the spy film, was the standout feature of the spotted vehicle.

The new 5-door Jimny from Maruti Suzuki will be available as a 5-seater, off-road lifestyle SUV. The middle row of the Maruti Jimny 7-seater may include jump seats as an option. The new Maruti SUV's official specifications are still a secret. A huge 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the most recent smartphone connectivity, rear AC vents, steering-mounted controls, USB charging ports, and other features are likely to be included.

The new 5-door Maruti Jimny SUV is expected to have a 1.5L K15 petrol engine and 5-speed manual transmission under the hood. The motor will provide 130Nm of torque and 100bhp of power. The 4X4 drivetrain system with a low-range transfer case will be available for the off-road SUV. However, it might only be offered on upper trims. Its off-roading abilities will be further improved by features including a high ground clearance (210mm), superior approach and departure angles, and a 3-link rigid axle suspension with coil spring.
