In 2025, Patanjali Ayurved, led by yoga guru Baba Ramdev, entered the electric mobility space with the launch of the Patanjali Electric Cycle. Aimed at offering an eco-conscious and budget-friendly commuting option, this electric cycle is tailored for daily use in both cities and semi-urban regions of India. Combining modern innovation with Patanjali’s core principles of sustainability and natural living, the initiative reflects Baba Ramdev’s vision of promoting swadeshi technology and a greener lifestyle.

Impressive battery life for longer trips

The Patanjali Electric Cycle has a great range, which is one of its best features. Many reports say that the basic model can reliably go 80 to 110 kilometres on a single charge. However, some versions suggest that it could go even further, up to 200 kilometres with a more advanced battery setup. With this longer range, the bike is one of the cheapest electric bikes for people in India.

Power and speed are just right for riding in cities

The cycle is powered by a brushless DC motor that can give between 250W and 350W of power. This is the right amount of power to meet Indian regulations. The fastest it can go is about 25 to 30 km/h, which is safe for riding in city traffic.

The frame is strong and light, making it easy to carry

The bike is light and easy to handle; it weighs only about 22 kilograms. Its frame is made of long-lasting materials like aluminium alloy, and some models come with natural wood decks that are both stylish and good for the environment.

Added comfort for a smooth ride

With flexible front suspension, dual rear shock absorbers, and a padded seat, comfort is a top priority. These features help to smooth out bumps and make riding enjoyable even on rough roads.

Easy Charging and Battery Technology

There is a lithium-ion battery that can be taken off the bike. It is usually 36V/10Ah and takes 4 to 6 hours to fully charge. Because the battery is portable, it can be charged anywhere, like at work or at home. Regenerative stopping recovers energy when the bike goes downhill, which makes the battery last even longer.

Using smart technology together

A digital LCD console that shows speed, battery life, and miles travelled is one of the smart features. It is also expected to have extra tech features like Bluetooth for controlling apps, USB ports for charging devices, and security features like geo-fencing and remote locking.

Low prices and easy access to ownership

The Patanjali Electric Cycle is positioned as a game-changer, and the base model costs just ₹5,000. More advanced models cost up to ₹15,000. A lot of people should be able to buy the cycle because it comes with EMI financing and maybe even battery leasing choices.

A Long-Term Commute for India's Future

The Patanjali Electric Cycle is designed to be a high-performance, eco-friendly means of transportation for modern Indian commuters. It has a lightweight design, a long battery life, smart features, comfort, and an unbeatable price. India is looking for more environmentally friendly ways to get around, and this start fits right in with that need.
