Podbike: Frikar is an e-bike with four wheels that has a cover, or pod, to keep the rider safe from the elements and weather. It has one adult and one child’s seat below the cover. For two more kids, it can also pull a bicycle trailer. The technology behind Podbike Frikar is patented.
Equipped with an improved aerodynamic design for a better driving experience, the Frikar is marketed as a car that provides superior protection against severe weather conditions. The adaptable electric bike-car Frikar is perfect for summertime rides because of its detachable top. Although it only has enough for one passenger, the 160-litre cargo area of the Frikar may be replaced with an optional child passenger seat.
Price details
A waitlist spanning over 3,400 individuals has been established for the company’s debut model, which is available for pre-order at a starting price of €6,429 (about $7,300 USD) and requires a €300 deposit.
