Royal Enfield Himalayan 650CC: The offroading king with more power confirmed, all you need to know

Royal Enfield Himalayan 650CC: A single image of the Royal Enfield electric motorcycle prototype has caused new information about a forthcoming motorcycle to surface online. It is no news that RE is developing a 450 cc liquid-cooled Himalayan, but before that, rumours surrounded the company’s flagship dual-purpose adventure tourer.

Royal Enfield 650cc Adventurer

A report claims that the Chennai-based manufacturer is indeed working on a true adventure motorcycle based on the 650 cc platform already used by the Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650, and most recently the Super Meteor 650. This motorcycle will be unveiled in January 2023 before sales begin in February.

According to a product plan document, the future 650 cc adv will be based on the Interceptor 650 tourer, and a general description of the model has also been provided. The Super Meteor 650 is likewise depicted in the family tree as a descendant of the Interceptor, although RE claims that the flagship cruiser is based on an entirely new chassis and has a unique suspension system.

650cc adventurer features

Therefore, it is safe to predict that the Interceptor 650 and the Royal Enfield 650 cc adv will not be at all comparable to one another. One can plainly see the usual off-attitude roaders as well as the wire-spoked front and rear wheels, with the former being larger than the latter. Other elements include the upright handlebar, lofty seat, and height-set windscreen.

The shape also reveals an upswept exhaust system, an engine underbody cover, and a rear luggage rack. Additionally, it will be offered with high ground clearance and off-road grade tyres so that it may compete with the current Himalayan 411, which lacks these features. Also noticeable are the big fuel tank, low rider seat, and extended travel suspension.

Although the sketch may only be a rough idea of how the forthcoming adv 650 would seem, it does demonstrate RE’s intention to have a significant effect on the high-end adventure touring market. Although the launch schedule is not yet known, it may happen after the market launch of a 650 cc scram and the production-spec SG650 in the near future.
