Xiaomi 13 5G: With Leica cameras, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and Android 13, this phone is one of the best in class

Xiaomi 13 5G: The MWC has officially kicked off, and Xiaomi has unveiled its Xiaomi 13 series globally. The Xiaomi 13 and 13 Lite will be released later, and the flagship Xiaomi 13 Pro’s price and availability in India will be announced on February 28. Let’s find out more about the Xiaomi 13 standard.

Display

The 6.36-inch E6 AMOLED display on the Xiaomi 13 has a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The front of the phone is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5, and it has IP68 certification.
The display has a refresh rate of 120Hz, a P3 colour gamut, a pixel density of 413 PPI, a typical brightness of 1200 nits with a peak of 1900 nits, and support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.

Memory wise variants

With up to 512GB of internal storage and the most recent Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, the device has 12GB of RAM. While the 128GB model has UFS 3.1 technology, the 256GB and 512GB models have UFS 4.0 storage.

Connectivity and battery

The phone comes pre-installed with MIUI 14, which is based on Android 13. It has the most recent Wi-Fi 7 standard, Dual-SIM support, Bluetooth 5.3, and support for 15 5G bands in terms of connectivity. The phone has a 4,500mAh battery and can be charged at 67W via wire, 50W wirelessly, and 10W via reverse wirelessly.

Outstanding cameras

In addition to the top-tier processor, the Xiaomi 13 has a triple-camera setup with the Leica name. These cameras are a 50MP Sony IMX 800 sensor with f/1.8 aperture and HyperOIS, a secondary 10MP f/2.0 telephoto sensor, and a 12MP f/2.2 ultrawide camera with a 120-degree field-of-view. A 32MP lens is available up front for selfies. However, the gadget lacks a 1-inch sensor, unlike the Xiaomi 13 Pro.

Price and availability

The 8GB/128GB base model of the Xiaomi 13 costs EUR 999 (roughly Rs. 87,350). The device’s availability and Indian price have both been kept a secret by the manufacturer. In the upcoming days, we can anticipate Xiaomi to gradually reveal more details about the Xiaomi 13.
