Hero Electric reclaims the top spot while Ather and Ola experience a big decline

Hero Electric fell all the way to third place last month before regaining the top spot in July, after seeing a decline in sales over the previous few months. Its overall sales increased by 35% month over month to 8,786 units in July from 6,504 EVs in June.

The top 10 manufacturers’ July two-wheeler EV sales are a mixed bag. Hero Electric reclaimed the top spot, but other important services like Ather and Ola saw a sharp decline in their sales rankings.

One of the top sellers in previous months, Okinawa Autotech, fell to second place with a total of 8,093 units, up 17% from the sales of 6,944 units in June.

Meanwhile, Ola Electric continues to face difficulties due to a persistent decline in sales. 3,852 units were sold in July, a considerable decrease from the 5,886 units sold in June. The market thinks that the recent decline, which began after the April highs of 12,702 units, was greatly influenced by the recent spate of fires. It is currently in position five.
