Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara receives over 1.20 lakh bookings, deliveries to start after THESE many months

The Grand Vitara, produced by Maruti Suzuki, the largest automaker in India, was unveiled in September of last year. The first reservations for this hybrid mid-size SUV were accepted in July 2022, and more than 1.20 lakh have been made as of this writing. Up until January 2023, the company had delivered more than 32,000 Grand Vitaras, and it now demands a lengthy waiting period.

Official confirmation from Maruti Suzuki that 1,22,437 Grand Vitara reservations have been made so far (as of February 22, 2023). While only 32,087 of the newest hybrid SUVs have been delivered as of January of this year, there are currently 90,350 pending orders. Depending on the variant you select and the dealership’s location, the Maruti Grand Vitara waiting period can be anywhere from two to nine months.

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara: Engine and gearbox

A brand-new 1.5-liter petrol engine with strong hybrid technology and an e-CVT power the Grand Vitara. It also has a 1.5-liter mild-hybrid petrol engine with a 5-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed automatic transmission. Grand Vitara manual models can also be had with optional AWD. It is India’s most fuel-efficient SUV, achieving up to 27.97 km/l according to ARAI-claimed mileage for strong hybrid variants.

The current list price for the brand-new Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is between Rs. 10.45 lakh and Rs. The Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, and other SUVs in the sub-20 lakh price range are just a few of the competitors for this mid-size sport utility vehicle.
