Redmi India, the sub brand of Mi India, has appointed Bollywood actor Sonu Sood as its brand ambassador. The actor will mostly be promoting brand’s mobile phones. He will star in Redmi’s latest ‘More Power To You’ campaign which aims to promote brand’s Redmi 9 power device.
The campaign rolled out by Schbang Digital Solutions and Laqshya Media Group will run across all of brand’s online and retail platforms.
Sonu Sood, who has left one and all impressed with his philanthropic work, was recently seen donating Redmi smartphones under the brand’s #ShikshaHarHaath initiative.
Before Sonu, the brand has collaborated with many big names including Ranveer Singh and Katrina Kaif.
“Celebrity associations have helped the company to connect deeper with its consumers. With the aim to democratize technology, celebrity associations also enable “recognition, recall and relatability with the brand,” Muralikrishnan B, chief operating officer, Mi India told brand equity.
“Consumers are looking for solutions that make their digital life convenient.” With the work from home trend continuing, “the need for intelligent devices that can automate time-consuming banal tasks will increase,” he added.
