Yamaha RX100: This Yamaha RX 100 bike, which was manufactured between 1985 and 1996, may enter the Indian market again. The company ceased the production of this bike around 25 years ago. As the company still provides the spare parts for this bike, many bike enthusiasts have provided the utmost care to this Yamaha bike and kept it intact.  

What Yamaha Motor Says About The Comeback Of Its Ceased Bike?

Yamaha Motor Chairman, Eishin Chihana, has said that “We want to bring back the RX100 brand but there are two points: RX100 is a two-stroke engine, and complying with the BS6 engine is impossible now.

Yamaha RX 100 was loved by many Indian bike lovers for its stylish look, mileage, speed, and various other innumerable features. However, the bike was discontinued after the Indian government implemented stricter emission norms known as Bharat Stage (BS) standards. On being asked about the launch date of this bike, the chairman said, “The bike could be launched after 2026” as the company has planned to launch other models until 2025. As per sources, the bike may have a larger displacement engine but won’t have a two-stroke powertrain due to emission standards. Not many details about the launch of the bike were revealed by the company; however, it may come back in a new Avtar.

Moreover, the company disclosed its plans to grow into the electric vehicle segment so that new electric vehicles in India can be launched. To stand out in the Indian electric two-wheeler market, the company may launch its e-scooter soon; however, no confirmed month or year has been revealed yet.
