Agnivesh Agarwal: Agnivesh Agarwal, the son of Vedanta Chairman and Mining Mogul Anil Agarwal, died at the age of 49 following a cardiac arrest after recovering from a skiing accident.
Agnivesh was recovering at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.

Anil Agarwal said his son is left everyone far too soon at the age of 49. The Vedanta Chairman added Agnivesh was recovering well in New York but fate had other plans for the family.
Anil added Agnivesh grew into a real man of purpose, compassion and strength. Born on 3 June 1976, Agnivesh studied at Ajmer’s Mayo College and established Fujeirah Gold. He later went on to become the Chairman of Hindustan Zinc. He was also the chairperson of Talwandi Sabo Power Limited, a subsidiary of Vedanta.
The company’s stock fell nearly 3 percent after the unexpected family tragedy. On the National Stock Exchange, the company’s stock opened lower from its previous close of Rs. 622.20. Two days back, the share price of Vedanta had touched Rs. 629.90, a high of 52 weeks.
