Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Friday announced the grand beginning of the Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit 2026, welcoming prominent industrialists and business leaders from India and across the world to Punjab. The summit aims to attract large-scale investments and strengthen the state’s industrial ecosystem while generating employment opportunities for the youth.

As part of the event, Mann held an important meeting in Chandigarh with Lakshmi N. Mittal, Executive Chairman of the global steel giant ArcelorMittal. During the meeting, both sides discussed possibilities of significant investment in Punjab and explored ways to create new employment opportunities for the state’s young workforce.
According to the Chief Minister, the summit is expected to play a key role in showcasing Punjab as an attractive destination for domestic as well as international investors. He emphasized that the state government is focused on developing a business-friendly environment, modern infrastructure and streamlined administrative processes to facilitate industrial growth.
Mann stated that the government is committed to providing full support to industries willing to invest in the state. He added that policies aimed at ease of doing business, improved logistics and investor-friendly initiatives are helping Punjab gain recognition among major industrial players.
The Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit 2026 will feature discussions, partnerships and investment proposals across multiple sectors including manufacturing, steel, infrastructure, technology and services. Officials believe that such collaborations will help strengthen the state’s economy and accelerate development.
The Chief Minister also reiterated that attracting investment is closely linked to expanding employment opportunities for the youth. By encouraging industrial expansion and new projects, the government aims to generate sustainable jobs and enhance economic growth across the state.
Highlighting the vision of building a vibrant and prosperous state, Mann called upon industry leaders, entrepreneurs and stakeholders to join hands with the government in transforming Punjab into a leading hub for investment and innovation while working together towards the goal of creating a “Rangla Punjab.”
