Noida International Airport: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath while speaking on the final day of the Winter session of the state Assembly announced that the Noida International Airport at Jewar will be inaugurated in January 2026.
Noida International Airport-CM Announces New Aviation Addition
CM Yogi Adityanath highlighted the exponential expansion of aviation and transport infrastructure in the state after taking over in 2017. Yogi remarked only 2 airports were operational while two others were partially functional.
Adityanath added there are 16 functional airports today in the state. The UP CM added 4 are international airports and the 5th international airport will be operational next month.
CM Yogi Adityanath-UP Will Soon Be A Fully Developed State
CM Yogi Adityanath said the state has seen massive and notable growth in railways, expressways and urban transport in recent years. Yogi added that Uttar Pradesh now accounts for a significant share of India’s expressway network. He added the state now witnesses extensive rail routes, improved inter-state road connectivity and expanding metro services.
The IATA code of the Noida International Airport will be DXN. The airport will aim toward the goal of net-zero emissions and will have an initial annual capacity of 1.2 crore passengers.
The Noida International Airport has been developed under a public-private partnership (PPP) model. It would be a greenfield project being developed in Jewar, in Gautam Buddh Nagar district.
Once fully developed, the Noida international airport will have four runways and a projected capacity of over 70 million passengers per year. It is strategically located near the Yamuna Expressway. It will be well connected to Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida and western Uttar Pradesh via an extensive network of expressways, metro links and high-speed rail corridors.
