Noida International Airport: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is all set to grant the aerodrome license to the long-awaited Noida International Airport in Jewar.

The Noida International Airport is expected to significantly ease congestion at the Indira Gandhi International Airport of Delhi while also transforming air travel across Western UP and Delhi-NCR.
It is also expected to generate thousands of direct as well as indirect jobs along with attracting large-scale investment in hospitality, real estate, aviation and logistics.
Noida International Airport: Approval Status
Recently, a team of Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) assessed vital security systems including 3D radar installations, access-controlled entry points, anti-hijacking and bomb-disposal infrastructure, CCTV and perimeter surveillance and passenger & baggage screening.
Shailendra Bhatia, Nodal Officer, Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL), announced that all checks were successfully cleared and BCAS has prepared the final compliance report that is an important step before DGCA approval.
What Happens After DGCA Licensing?
The Noida International Airport can start with domestic passenger flights and cargo operations once the aerodrome license is granted by the DGCA.
Retail spaces, international flights and expanded commercial services will be rolled out in future phases as capacity grows.
