Top 5 stocks of the day: UltraTech Cement, UPL, Adani Enterprises, Nestle India and Power Grid Corporation are the top gainers on the Nifty, while Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Cipla, Axis Bank, BPCL, and M&M were the top losers. PSU banks, FMCG, capital goods, power, metal, and real estate all rose 0.5-1 percent, while the pharma index fell 0.4 percent. The BSE midcap index increased by 1%, while the smallcap index increased by 0.7%.
Sensex and NSE Nifty50
The Sensex closed up 102.93 points, or 0.15 percent, at 69,928.53, while the Nifty closed up 27.70 points, or 0.13 percent, at 20,997.10. Around 2211 shares rose, 1358 fell, and 174 remained unchanged. Benchmark indices finished higher in the volatile session on December 11, with the Nifty hovering around 21,000 points.

Shares of Tata Power jumped 3 percent
Tata Power shares rose 3% on December 11 after the company’s arm announced a partnership with Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) to build more than 500 fast and ultra-fast electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across India. These charging stations will be installed in a variety of IOCL retail locations. These electric vehicle charging stations will be installed in major cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Pune, and Kochi, as well as major highways such as the Mumbai-Pune Motorway, Salem-Kochi Highway, Guntur-Chennai Highway, and the Golden Quadrilateral.
