The new HVAC control unit, which now also houses media controls, is visible in recent spy photos of the Seltos facelift. However, dual-zone climate control is the most intriguing inclusion. The Seltos facelift will be the first midsize SUV with this climate control capability when it is introduced.

The current single-pane sunroof on the Seltos facelift will be replaced by a panoramic one. Similar to the outgoing Seltos, the sunroof option is likely to be available beginning with mid-spec models. As seen in earlier spy photos, Kia is also likely to integrate an ADAS package into the facelift.

Powertrain and features

For the 2023 model, a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine will reportedly replace the current 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which is capable of producing a maximum power output of 140 PS and 242 Nm of peak torque. The current unit might not comply with the stricter RDE (Real Driving Emission) requirements, which is the reason for the upgrade.

When it arrives, the larger engine will probably be mated to either a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It will produce about 160 PS and 260 Nm. The midsize SUV was the first vehicle the South Korean manufacturer released in India back in 2019. It is presently the second best-selling model in its segment.

A twin-screen configuration with connectivity could be included in the next Seltos makeover that will be sold in India. Similar to the screens in the all-electric Kia EV6, each screen could have a maximum size of 10.25 inches. In addition, the dashboard might benefit from a few changes and a heavy dose of soft-touch components. The Seltos is a very feature-loaded SUV currently, but the facelift may bring the inclusion of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) capabilities. The C-segment SUV’s panoramic sunroof is present, according to a recent spy photo of the Seltos facelift.
