2024 Volkswagen ID.4: Volkswagen said earlier this year that the 2024 Volkswagen ID.4 would have higher power and a longer driving range thanks to an 82-kilowatt-hour battery.
2024 Volkswagen ID.4 gets a performance boost
The ID.4 Pro, ID.4 AWD Pro, and ID.4 AWD Pro S trims currently have three ratings available. We assume that additional trim-level data will be released at a later time.
The EPA combined range of the rear-wheel drive ID.4 Pro is 291 miles, an increase of 16 miles or 5.8% over its previous range. The 263-mile rating for the two all-wheel-drive models represents an increase of 8 miles or 3.1% over the previous rating. This increase shows us that there is still a lot of room to improve the efficiency and range of EVs without resorting to larger battery capacities.
Interior updates
Additional enhancements include a larger 12.9-inch infotainment screen for higher trim levels, which replaces the previous 12.0-inch screen and is supposed to provide better menu structures and easier climate controls. Additionally updated are the designs of the shifter and steering wheel. The S Plus trim level now comes with a Harman/Kardon audio system in addition to standard cooling front seats. The S Plus now features 21-inch wheels, while the 19-inch wheels were replaced with 20-inch wheels.
