22 Detained In Connection With Science HSLC Exam Paper Leak Case

22 people were detained from Guwahati, North Lakhimpur, Dhemaji, Sadiya, Dibrugarh and Tinsukia in connection with the leak of General Science (C3) paper of HSLC examination being conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam. Further legal action is being taken against them.

Meanwhile, the Board of Secondary Education of Assam has canceled the general science exam which was earlier to be held on March 13 and announced a new date for the same, under which the exam will now be held on March 30, 2023. At the same time, the canceled English subject examination in JR Higher Secondary School, Ganirgram will now be held on March 28, 2023.

The Assam Board of Secondary Education (SEBA) has canceled the English exam at an examination center in Cachar district. The decision to cancel the exam was taken following reports of use of unfair means by students at JR Higher Secondary School Gonirgram Higher Secondary Examination Center in Cachar.

The Class 10th Board (HSLC) examination is being conducted by the Board of Secondary Education of Assam in 912 centers across the state. 4,22,174 candidates are participating in the exam. In this sequence, on March 3, 2023, the class 10th English paper was organized. During that time, the case of copying came to the fore at the examination center, then the board canceled the examination of English subject in the said examination center of the district.
