3 Electric Two wheelers

Ather 450X Gen 3

For an e-scooter, the Ather 450X Gen 3 costs Rs 1,57,507 (ex-showroom India including state subsidy). The electric scooter, however, has a number of improvements over the previous design.

Instead of the previous 2.9kWh lithium-ion battery pack, the upgraded 450X features a larger 3.7kWh battery pack. As a result, it claims to have a 146 km range, which is 30 km more than the previous model. In the Ride and Eco modes, the e-actual scooter’s range has been greatly boosted. You won’t really notice the difference, but a larger battery also implies higher thermal efficiency and a little bit more weight.

Last but not least, Ather succeeded in enhancing the ride and handling package by replacing the front and rear 90/90-section MRF tyres with new ones from MRF that are grippier due to a modified rubber formula.

Tork Kratos R

On January 26, 2022, Tork Motors officially debuted the Kratos, a long-awaited electric motorcycle. The Kratos has a lot going for it and costs Rs 1,32,499 for the base model and Rs 1,47,499 for the “R” variant. To begin with, it is one of the nicest-looking electric motorcycles available, meticulously constructed from the ground up. Everything has therefore been carefully considered, including the low seat height (785mm) and pleasant ergonomics.

Although its top speed is 85 kmph, its mid-mounted motor, which produces 9 kW and 38 Nm of peak torque, claims to have a top speed of 105 kmph. With the included 4kWh battery pack, you can ride in Eco mode for 120km without needing to recharge. The range decreases to 70km in the Sports mode, which is the most powerful. The Kratos R has fast charging capabilities that should provide you with ample power to continue your journey.

TVS iQube S

The TVS 2022 iQube is available in three variants: regular (on-road Delhi pricing: Rs 98,564), iQube S (on-road Delhi price: Rs 1,08,690), and the top-spec iQube ST model (price to be determined).

The larger 3.04kWh lithium-ion battery pack that is said to provide a stated range of 100km is the standout feature of the new iQube S. Interestingly, our road test showed that if you use a moderate throttle, the range may be increased to 114.76km. That will last for several days of commuting with no problem.

The iQube S’s Eco mode is another reason to adore it. Up until 32 kph, it is geared to deliver lots of punch before slowing down. In reality, you may reach a speedo-indicated 50kmph when driving in Eco (45kmph on the VBox). Despite adding weight, it still accelerates to 75 kmph more quickly than previously.

The joystick interaction panel, seven-inch full-colour TFT display, and four new colour schemes are also noteworthy. The iQube S enhances a likeable machine by adding more functions and a wider variety of options to create a more complete package.
